Raymond Lee Filley, 75, Excelsior Springs, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Liberty Hospital.
Raymond was born on Oct. 18, 1931, the son of Ralph and Alta Cecile (Stillfield) Filley. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked for AmerenUE for over 30 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Clay Ray Vets Club and the American Legion for 51 years.
Survivors include: his wife of 50 years, Doris Filley of the home; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by: a daughter, Lisa (Filley) Johnson; a son, Raymond Scott Filley; and three brothers, Ward, Ervin and Paul Filley.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Veterans Memorial Fund.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Wed. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wed., July 18, 2007, at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
