Donaphon Gene Shipley, 31, of Richmond, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at his home.
Donaphon was born August 26, 1975 in Kansas City to Johnny Paul and Jane (Rush) Shipley.
Donaphon was reared and educated in Richmond where he graduated from Richmond High School. He was currently employed at LaFarge North America, Kansas City, Mo. He was a lifelong Richmond resident.
Survivors include his mother, Jane Shipley of Richmond; one son, Chase Shipley of Richmond; one daughter, Peyton Nicole Shipley; two brothers, Sergeant David Dewayne Cringan of Okinawa, Japan and John Scott Shipley; one sister, Malinda Shipley; and his paternal grandmother, Irma Shipley of Richmond.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Donaphon Shipley, and his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Ruth Rush.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Donaphon Shipley Memorial Fund.
Visitation will be Monday, July 16, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond.
Memorial services will be Monday, July 16, at 1:30 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond.
