Charles Edwin Due, 72, lifelong Richmond resident, passed away on Saturday June 30, 2007 at the Ray County Memorial Hospital.
Charles was born on Dec. 20, 1934 in Richmond, the son of Charley A. and Ethel (Mansell) Due. He married Deanna Parker on Dec. 26, 1962 in Richmond. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Missouri State Highway Department as an Inspector for 36 years, after retirement he worked for Ideal Industries. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include: his wife, Deanna, of the home; daughter, Christy McCorkendale and her husband, Robert of Hardin; two sons, Charles Due Jr. of Richmond, and Eric Due and his wife, Melissa of Lexington; and ten grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: one sister, Patty Boyce and her husband, Carl; and one brother, Perry Due.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday July 3, 2007 at the Polley Funeral Home, Richmond. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
