Mitchell J. Milligan, 95, of rural Richmond, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Lawson Manor under the care of his family and Regional Hospice of Liberty.
Mitchell was born Aug. 9, 1911 in Richmond, the son of Fletcher and Flora (Albertson) Milligan.
He attended Richmond area schools and Chillicothe Business College.
Mitchell married Velma Margaret Wiley; she survives at Lawson Manor.
Mitchell was a life-long farmer in the Richmond area. He was also a real estate broker in the area. He was of Christian faith.
Besides his wife, he is also survived by: two children, Maurice Milligan, of the home and Kathleen Wilson of Richmond; many grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, four children, Marilyn Rogers, John E. Milligan, LeAnn Reddell and Don Milligan; four grandchildren; and all of his brothers and sisters.
Memorials in honor of Mitchell Milligan may be made to the New Hope Cemetery of Stet and left at the service of mailed to heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe, MO, 64601.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2007, at New Hope Cemetery near Stet.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home in Chillicothe.
