Dan C. Hamilton, 82, of Liberty died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at the North Kansas City Hospital.
Dan was born Jan. 18, 1925 in Dockery, to Dan and Anna W. (Dreves) Hamilton in Richmond, where he lived until entering the service in 1943.
He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1980 after 28 years of service.
Dan is survived by: His devoted wife, Nancy, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris Hamilton and his wife, Rita of Kansas City; one daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and husband, Chris Palaska of Kansas City; three grandchildren, Bridget Hamilton, Michael Palaska and Nichole Palaska; one great-granddaughter, Madeline Hamilton; step sons, Larry Moore and his wife Jeanne and their three children and 10 grandchildren, all of Wheaton, Ill. and Rod Moore of Casselbury, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Catherine Hamilton and Betty Hamilton, both of Kansas City, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Church of the Good Shepard Episcopal Church Memorial Fund in lieu of flowers.
Visitation will be Friday, June 15 at the Church of the Good Shepard (Episcopal) in Kansas City, Mo. beginning at 9 a.m.
Funeral services will follow on June 15 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepard Episcopal Church in Kansas City, Mo.
Burial will be at Sunny Slope Cemetery in Richmond.
Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
