Everett C. Williams, 86. Hamilton, passed away on Wednesday June 6, 2007 at his home.
Everett was born on Feb. 20, 1921 in Rodney, Ark., the son of Albert M. and Minnie M. (Hand) Williams. He married Ruby Lindsey on Sept. 9, 1943 in Newport, Ark. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Elmira Baptist Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Ruby Williams of the home; four children, daughter, Linda Barnett and her husband, Delbert of Hamilton, son, Kenneth Gene Williams and his wife, Sue of Elmira, daughter, Mary Pettiecord and her husband, H.R. of Rayville, and daughter, Cynthia Stocks and her husband, Terry of Lawson; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: one daughter, Betty Joan Baker; five brothers; and four sisters.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 8 at the Polley Funeral Home in Lawson.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2007. the Elmira Baptist Church.
Burial will be in the Elmira Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Polley Funeral Home in Lawson.
