Richard H. “Rick” Truesdale, age 55, of Excelsior Springs, died at 12:25 p.m. on May 27, 2007, at the Valley Manor and Rehabilitation Center in Excelsior Springs.
Rick was born on March 22, 1952 in Kansas City, Mo., to Restin E. “Rusty” and Elizabeth I. (Wood) Truesdale.
Rick worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Ford Motor Company and Price Candy Company. He lived in the Richmond area most of his life. He was a Baptist. He was a 1970 Graduate of Oak Park High School. Rick was a 20 year master mason and was a member of the Ararat Temple.
Survivors include: his mother, Elizabeth I. Truesdale of Richmond; one, brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Jan Olsen of Liberty; and one sister and brother-in-law, Sondra and
Maynard McGhay of Kansas City, Mo.
His father preceded him in death.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made either to Southern Care Hospice or to the Ararat Temple Transportation Fund.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007, at 7 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
Inurnment will be at a later date.
Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
