Gladys M. Wegener, 93, Richmond, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Gladys was born on Feb. 28, 1914 in St. Louis, the duaghter of Gentry J. and Lillian (Hilliard) Nichols. She worked as a seamstress for many years, and on Sept. 18, 1954 she married Norman G. Wegener in Excelsior Springs. Gladys was a member of the Camden Baptist Church.
Gladys is survived by: daughter and son-in-law, Jane Happy and husband Jim, Camden; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Burgess and wife Nancy, Camden; grandsons, James Happy, Richmond, Gerald Happy, Excelsior Springs, Collison Burgess, Camden; sister, Dorothy Vandiver, Richmond.
She was preceded in death by husband, Norman, four sisters, and three brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund (804 Wollard Blvd., Richmond, MO 64085).
Graveside services for Gladys will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Missouri City Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Polley Funeral Homes in Richmond.
