Rev. Chester L. Crawford, 91, Missouri City, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007, in Lawson.
Rev. Crawford was born Dec. 16, 1915 in Excelsior Springs. In 1954, Chester married Frances M. Chadwick.
He is survived by: daughter, Sarah Reynolds, Rayville; son, Chester Leroy Crawford, Douglas, Kan.; brother, Russell “Bull” Crawford, Excelsior Springs; nine grand children; eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, France Myrtle Crawford; his parents; daughter, Pamela Jean Turner; daughter, Sarah Magdalene Sidwell; great-grandson, Ray Reynolds; sisters, Lillie Graham and Bertha Warner; brothers, Ellis Crawford and Clarence Crawford.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, May 17 at Missouri City Baptist Church.
Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. Thursday, May 17, 2007, at the Missouri City Baptist Church.
He will be laid to rest with military honors in “Jackson County Veteran’s Field of Honor” at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Memories Funeral Home.
