Wayne L. Lucas, 70, of Kansas City, Mo., died at 3:20 a.m., Monday, May, 7, 2007, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Lucas was born Jan. 29, 1937 in Hillsdale, Kan., to Jack and Maureen (Rosman) Lucas. He married Kimberly Mills Lucas of Bogard, on Sept. 30, 1958; she survives, of the home.
Mr. Lucas was a jet mechanic at Richards Gebaur Air Force Base.
Survivors include: three sons and three daughters-in-law, Chris and Susan Lucas of Overland Park, Kan., Todd and Brie Lucas of Leawood, Kan. and Michael and Natasha Lucas of Kansas City, Kan.; one daughter, Kelly Pace of Olathe, Kan.; one brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Laurie Lucas of Houston, Texas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, June and Dale Hamlion of Paola, Kan. and Barbara Lucas of Carrollton; and seven grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Bob Lucas.
Graveside services will be Thursday, May 10, at 2 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville.
Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
