Samuel “Sam” Waggoner, 65, of Braymer, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2007 at North Kansas City Hospital.
Sam was born on Aug. 3, 1941, to Bessie and Turiel Waggoner.
Sam owned Waggoner Concrete in Kansas City, Mo., for 40 years.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by: his children, William Lee Waggoner, Tammie Ann Smith and her husband, Dr. David Smith, Sonja Anne Waggoner, Dale E. Rigsby and Brandon Sam Waggoner and his wife, Jen Waggoner; three sisters, Mary, Frances and Mavis; 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; a special companion, Peggy Clark and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Bessie and Turiel Waggoner; wife, Sharon Waggoner; brothers, Jack and William Waggoner; and a sister, Joan Gibson.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2007, at White Chapel in Gladstone.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 17 at White Chapel in Gladstone.
Interment to follow in Ever Green Cemetery in Braymer.
Arrangements are under the direction of D.W. Newcomer’s Sons White Chapel in Gladstone.
