Elizabeth Maxine Morton, 84, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at her home.
Elizabeth was born Sept. 26, 1922 in Carroll County, Missouri, the daughter of Homer Maurice and Mattie Mae Wright McGrew. She married Cecil Howard Morton, March 25, 1942.
Elizabeth was a cook at Lexington Memorial Hospital for several years. She was a Christian and a member of the Wellington Baptist Church.
She is survived by: two children, Barbara M. Danuser and her husband, Douglas, of Pleasant Hill and Barry Morton and his wife, Karen, Lee’s Summit; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, on Oct. 30, 1996, her parents, a brother, Charles McGrew, and two sisters, Marjorie Bartlett and Charline McGrew.
Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, April 6 prior to service at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington. Memorials may be made to Village Hospice.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home, Lexington.
Burial will be in Greenton Cemetery in Odessa.
